As you may know the draft Glastonbury Neighbourhood Plan public consultation period currently runs from 22 June to 2 August 2026. We require the Council to extend the deadline ideally until the beginning of 2027 and potentially embrace a significant re-write so that the Plan truly reflects the current wishes of those living and/or working in Glastonbury.
We have written to Glastonbury Town Council but received no response. Please urgently read our petition with a summary of reasons to extend and sign it if you agree, also requesting your neighbours to do the same. Results so far show that 36% of people haven't received the Executive Summary of the Neighbourhood Plan through the post so were likely unaware of its existence prior to our petition.

There is no guarantee that the council will agree to our very reasonable request, so please also do what you can to read particular the areas of the Plan that are of most concern to you and make your comments by the end of this Sunday 2 August.
